Missing You Today

I am missing you today.
Many years gone this time,
Each strung together
With ever tightening twine
I’m not sure when i stopped
Feeling whole without you,
But all the pieces of me
That belongs to you
Are lanterns to guide you
Home where i wait,
The only place that seems alone,
Not patient and kind;
Instead greedy and anxious.
For the way you
Seem to fill up the room,
Fill up my lungs.
The lips that had the most
Brightest smile, now
Pastes a fake curve.
I stitch my broken pieces,
Enough to show the world.
If patience is a virtue
I have none left.
Let me guide you to the
Unexplored part of mine.
Come home to me
Let me be whole again.
