War

There’s war out there
and there’s a war inside.

Enemy is closing at bay
and fear is rising by.
One’s preparing to kill you
and the other’s eating you alive.
You must fight
and you must survive.

There’s war out there
and there’s a war inside!

All those friendly faces lie
and even your own guts deny.
That you are not worth it
and that you can’t do it right.
But you must try
and you must rise.

There’s war out there
and there’s a war inside

You have been caught
and you have been dragged.
The cage’s been locked
and your wings’ been frapped.
Still you must pry.
and you must fly.

There’s war out there.
and there’s a war inside.

You are not weak.
and you are not crying.
The world is a battle
and you are not dying.
You are above them all
and you must keep it high.

There’s war out there
and there’s a war inside.

Your shield’s been fallen
and your sword’s been broken.
So raise up your fists
and draw out your teeth.
You are a beast, you must bite
and you are a warrior, you must fight.

There’s war out there
and there’s a war inside.

– “We all are fighting two wars, the other one is with ourselves.”
